We transformed the long‑vacant space into a 4,500 sq ft salon anchored by soaring ceilings, exposed ducts and polished concrete floors. Floor‑to‑ceiling windows frame Encino’s skyline, while 24 stylist stations and two spa rooms sit in clean white millwork that rolls on hidden casters for easy reconfiguration. A line of sculptural shampoo basins faces the glass, giving every guest natural‑light views during treatments. Accessible restrooms and a discreet staff kitchen complete the programme.
Durable quartz worktops, LED task lighting and low‑flow fixtures boost sustainability without sacrificing style — supporting the salon’s green‑certified status. Acoustic insulation in every private suite allows stylists and clients to converse comfortably, and dedicated plumbing/electrical chases future‑proof the layout for new equipment. Delivered in 2019 — and opened on schedule despite tight mall regulations — Butterfly Loft now sets the benchmark for contemporary salon design in Los Angeles.
