Athena designed and built this 1,226 sq ft accessory dwelling unit as a practical residential addition for a private client seeking long-term rental income. The building is organized across two floors, each accommodating a fully independent two-bedroom apartment with an efficient layout and clearly defined living zones. The design prioritizes functionality, circulation, and natural light, allowing both units to operate as comfortable standalone homes within a compact structure.
By stacking two identical apartments vertically, the project maximizes usable space while maintaining privacy for each unit. Durable materials and practical planning ensure the building performs well for long-term tenancy, providing the client with a reliable rental asset while fitting naturally within the surrounding residential neighborhood.
